
Netflix announced today the release on February 3 of INFIESTO, the new film by Patxi Amezcua starring Isak Férriz and Iria del Río among others.
Patxi Amezcua, director of films such as Séptimo and screenwriter of Un hombre de acción, La sombra de la ley and El aviso, among others, writes and directs this disturbing mystery thriller in which the investigation of the reappearance of a young woman who had been presumed dead for months will uncover an even darker secret hidden in the Asturian mining area. The pressure of the investigation is even more pressing: it is March 2020 and a state of emergency has just begun.
Produced by Vaca Films for Netflix, INFIESTO stars Isak Férriz (Bajocero, Feria: la luz más oscura) and Iria del Río (Las niñas de cristal, Élite). The cast is completed by José Manuel Poga (La casa de papel) and Luis Zahera (As bestas) among others.
The film was shot over seven weeks in natural locations in Asturias and Galicia.

Synopsis of INFIESTO:
March 2020. On the first day of a state of emergency, two police inspectors are called to a small mining town in the Asturian mountains where a young woman who had been presumed dead for months has turned up. As the world crumbles and personal tragedies strike everywhere, the detectives soon realize that the virus may not be the only dark force at work.
