Vaca Films is one of Spain’s leading production companies in the development and production of successful films and series for both the domestic and international markets, combining creative quality with commercial appeal. It was founded in 2003 by Emma Lustres and Borja Pena in A Coruña, Galicia. Our productions have grossed over 50MM€ in Spain and have been distributed worldwide, participating in the most prestigious film festivals (Venice, Toronto, San Sebastián, and Berlin) and winning dozens of Goya Awards and other major accolades, as well as spawning international remakes in English and other languages. We have worked with some of the leading directors, screenwriters, and actors on the current national scene, as well as with emerging filmmakers, building relationships over the course of more than twenty years. Among our feature films are major hits from recent Spanish cinema such as *Celda 211*, *El niño*, *Cien años de perdón*, *El desconocido*, *Golpes*, *El Correo*, *FATUM*, *Código Emperador*, ‘Hasta el cielo’, ‘Quien a hierro mata’, ‘La Sombra de la ley’, ‘Invasor’, ‘Extinction’, and ‘Secuestrados’—just a few of the titles in our filmography of more than 30 films. In the field of series production for streaming platforms, our productions include “Clanes,” whose Season 1 spent 13 weeks in the top 10 of Netflix’s most-watched series in Spain, making it the longest-running series in that ranking. Also for Netflix, notable titles include “Hasta el cielo. La serie” and “El desorden que dejas.” Other productions include the first season of “La Unidad” for Movistar+ and “El circo de los muchachos” for Prime Video. We have also produced the film “Infiesto” for Netflix and the “Dímelo” trilogy for Prime. Among our upcoming projects is “Lobo” for Netflix, a miniseries that chronicles the life of Manuel B. Romasanta, the first serial killer to stand trial in Europe, starring Luis Tosar and Tristán Ulloa. “Clanes T3” will mark the end of the series following the current two seasons. The originals ‘Dímelo en Secreto’ and ‘Dímelo con Besos’ from the aforementioned trilogy, as well as the theatrical feature films “Las Vidas Posibles” and ‘Sin Huella’. We are also developing and preparing new projects with leading screenwriters and directors on the national scene, which will be released in the coming months.
