Tamar Novas and Marta Nieto star in UN PASADO POR DELANTE

Tamar Novas (“El desorden que dejas”, “Fariña”, “Los abrazos rotos”) and Marta Nieto (“Feria”, “Tres”, “Madre”) will star in UN PASADO POR DELANTE, a family film directed by Olga Osorio, with which she makes the leap to feature film. The screenplay is written by Osorio herself and Araceli Gonda (“Cuñados”, “Hierro”, “18 comidas”).

Goya nominees Tamar Novas and Marta Nieto are joined by children Mario Santos (“Alba”, “Cuéntame cómo pasó”, “Señoras del (h)AMPA”), Rubén Fulgencio (“El universo de Óliver”, “El pueblo”, “Pulsaciones”) and Irene Jiménez (“La caza. Monteperdido”). The cast also includes Goya winner Mabel Rivera (“Rapa”, “El orfanato”, “Mar adentro”) and Goya nominee Manuel Manquiña (“Arde Madrid”, “Lobos de Arga”, “Airbag”).

UN PASADO POR DELANTE is a touching, entertaining and funny story, which aims to convince children and adults with an original and fresh tone, and above all, very universal. A story for everyone.

Olga Osorio’s debut feature film has its origin in her award-winning short film “Einstein-Rosen”, which obtained relevant national and international recognition, participating in more than 240 festivals around the world and winning awards in a quarter of them. “Einstein-Rosen” premiered in the Official Selection of the 2016 Sitges Film Festival and since then has collected 69 national and international awards, more than 280 selections, including a dozen Oscar Qualifiers, in two of which the short film was named Best of Fest.

According to Emma Lustres of Vaca Films, UN PASADO POR DELANTE is “an agile comedy framed in a science fiction context that focuses on family entertainment. In Un pasado por delante we talk about the deepest human emotions, approaching a friendship relationship between two brothers as natural as universal. For us it is a challenge to tackle a genre of which there are few examples in the audiovisual industry in our country”.

UN PASADO POR DELANTE begins shooting in mid-September. The film is produced by Vaca Films and Quien a hierro mata AIE with the participation of Prime Video, RTVE, CRTVG and with the support of ICAA (Ministry of Culture), Agadic (Xunta de Galicia) and Programa Media.

UN PASADO POR DELANTE will hit theaters in the summer of 2023 distributed by A Contracorriente Films. International sales will be handled by Playtime.
